When you get off the main public dock of San Marcos La Laguna go straight ahead for 20m, and turn left at the first dirt path. Follow this path around a couple of turns until you come to a crossroads and we are diagonally on the left. If you turn left here you will get to restaurant Vida and the dock, meaning you have gone past our main entrance.

Alternatively, for the more scenic route, from the dock take the lakeside path to the left and follow the lake. When you hit the second dock, go up the steps and turn right, past Vida, and you will see Kula Maya entrance on your left at the first crossroads.

Driving
Vehicles do not have direct access to the hotel, we are walking access only. Cars and buses must park on the main in the Rincon San Marcos Carpark, followed by a 5-10 minute walk to get to the Hotel.

If you come with your own car - please park at the Rincón San Marcos car park across from Moon Fish Restaurant (see below)

If you come in a private taxi - ask your driver to leave you at the top of the path opposite Moon Fish Restaurant, at the Rincón San Marcos car park.

On Foot

Go straight down the stone path that runs downhill from the main road, which leads all the way to the hotel.

The path becomes narrower and narrower, down past the Hotel El Quetzal and the Hotel Posada del Bosque Encantado. Keep going down a little more before reaching a small crossroads, where you will see us diagonally on the right. If you look straight towards the dock we are to the right of Vida Restaurant.

If you come from the center of San Marcos La Laguna, take the main path downhill in front of the basketball court. Go straight down towards the dock, almost to the end. Around 20m before the dock, on the right, there is a dirt path - follow this until you come to a crossroads where you will see us diagonally on the left. If you look straight towards the dock we are to the right of Vida Restaurant.

Private shuttles are recommended and can be arranged for a direct service from Antigua or Guatemala city to San Marcos La Laguna. We recommend leaving in the morning to arrive before dark. Note that we do not have a 24 front desk, so please ensure if you are arriving into Guatemala City/Airport your shuttle to Lake Atitlan leaves on or before 2pm to arrive within the check in hours. Our drivers will meet you on arrival at the airport, or hotel, and can help you to walk from the road to our lakeside location. If you would like to arrange this, please contact us directly for more details.

PRIVATE SHUTTLE CANCELLATION NOTICE; Please be aware that short notice of less than 24hrs of a cancellation or delayed flight etc are still due for full payment. If a driver needs to be sent twice to get you (for them it is an 8 hour journey!) you will need to pay the cost of both trips.
